RadiaLx 2010 is the third edition of the radio festival and will take place in Lisbon from 1 to 3 of July.
RadiaLx 2010 has produced the only radio art festival in Portugal which focuses exclusively on radio and audio work.
This year, the festival will feature 3 days of non-stop special broadcast on Radio Zero comprising site-specific projects, streamings from all over the world, live shows, as well as broadcasts of recent most inventive radio and sound works. In parallel, workshops and conferences will certainly provide an in-depth critical platform and a place for exchange of ideas, bringing students and pratictioners to colaboration and direct engagement with the radio field.
In the previous editions, we have hosted performances and workshops from prestigious people like Tetsuo Kogawa, Knut Aufermann, Sarah Washington, Patrick Mckinley, Mike Cooper, and many others, providing a unique and intimate opportunity to present and develop challenging radio works and engage discussions regarding its multiple possibilities and transformations in a close interaction between artists and community.

Open Call pdf Radialx is seeking innovative, challenging and experimental radio works, crossing beyond established borders of genres and processes, praxis and styles, forms and materials. Radialx gathers an international set of groundbreaking artists, researchers, instigators and producers, delivering public interventions, performances, workshops, live radio broadcasts, discussions and conferences. Our aim is to enrich the radiophonic and aural experience, present new and forgotten forms of transmission and using radio, as well as encouraging new social and network intersections and overlaps that are inherent to recent technological transformations. Radialx will take place between 1 and 3 july comprising a special non-stop broadcast. The selected works will be aired and streamed through RadioZero. We invite you to submit broadcast proposals under the following formats:

b) 28 minute radio program
c) 57 minute radio program
d) live studio radio
e) other formats (send a detailed proposal)
